About me
Hi, I’m Sam.
I’m the owner and producer at Open Sessions, proudly since 2026, and I’ve been working with audio since 2018.
I started out as a musician and only dabbled in production as a way to record my own music for friends and family. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was more fascinated with the production side of things than being up on stage. I love building songs from the ground up, and even more than that, I love building real relationships with the artists I work with around Kingston.
When it came time to design the studio, leaning into the neon “open” sign just felt right. The actual sign hanging in the studio used to sit in the window of my dad’s business. What started as a memento from his shop slowly became the theme of mine.
Open Sessions is really about keeping the door open, open to ideas, open to collaboration, and open to whatever the music wants to become.
